Key responsibilities
ADR preparation & documentation

Prepare and compile Additional Documentation Requests (ADRs) in response to Medicare audits and reviews. Ensure all clinical records, visit notes, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.

Billing & claims management

Manage the full billing cycle including claim submission, follow-up on denials, and coordination of reimbursements for Medicare and private pay patients. Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.

OASIS transmission & oversight

Oversee the timely and accurate transmission of OASIS assessments to the state system. Review OASIS data for completeness and compliance prior to submission, and coordinate with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies.

Eligibility verification

Verify patient eligibility and coverage with Medicare and private insurance carriers prior to and during the episode of care. Identify coverage limitations, obtain authorizations, and communicate benefit information to relevant staff.

Office operations & staff coordination

Ensure the smooth daily operation of the home health office including scheduling, intake coordination, record management, and communication between clinical and administrative staff. Serve as the central point of contact for operational matters.

Compliance & regulatory adherence

Monitor agency operations for compliance with CMS regulations, state licensure requirements, and agency policies. Assist with survey preparation and maintain current knowledge of home health regulatory changes.

Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a home health agency administrative or billing role

Demonstrated experience with ADR preparation and Medicare audit response

Working knowledge of OASIS data sets and state transmission requirements

Proficiency in Medicare billing, UB-04 claim forms, and eligibility verification processes

Familiarity with home health EMR/software platforms (Synergy EMR)

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

Knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and home health regulatory requirements preferred

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
