Environmental Technician Needed

• Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Conduct surf zone sampling activities.
• Prepare and maintain sampling equipment and supplies including taking inventory, organizing, and labeling sample bottles.
• Log and/or receive samples into a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Create and maintain chain-of-custodies.
• Prepare glassware and labeling of test chambers.
• Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate sampling and laboratory equipment following established procedures and maintenance schedules or when needed.
• Order supplies, process samples for long-term preservation, and maintain the literature database and voucher collection.
• Perform data entry and tabulation.
• Maintain laboratory files and records, including documentation review.
• Clean and maintain assigned vehicles including washing and fueling.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct routine and unexpected problems.
• Wash and clean glassware on a routine basis or when instructed.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks throughout the workday.
• Perform related duties as needed.
